A mesh safety fence is a series of sections, latched together, to establish a barrier between the pool and children living in the residence. The fence sections can be easily opened by an adult, giving a 3-6 ft wide opening for entry into the pool. The fence can be partially removed or completely taken down in minutes, for greater access to the pool, on occasions when child safety is not a concern. Since this is a removable fence, it is not meant to replace permanent fencing around the perimeter of the property, which protects the neighbor’s children, but does nothing to protect the children living in the home. While this type of fence is the ultimate in safety because it eliminates hand and foot holds, it is also aesthetically pleasing due to its transparency and color options.

Fence Sections – height and length availability.
The fencing is available in 42", 48" and 60" heights. Section lengths are available in 3 ft increments from 6ft to 18ft. The 3 ft increments are necessary because there is 36” between the support poles of each section. Each fence section is pre-assembled and comes with the necessary deck sleeves with caps, and rust resistance safety latches. The fence price includes everything (all materials) needed for the installation, and written detailed installation instructions.

Fence Materials
Poles – extra thick, marine quality aluminum poles with inique Tri-Core reinforcement for added rigidity.
Mesh – Textilene® is an extremely tough, man made fabric, that is treated for resistance to fading, mildew and soiling. It is also so strong it will resist tearing even if cut. The binding used on the mesh is a marine grade material reinforced with scrim, which are fibers like you would find in hard to tear shipping tape.

Fence Gates
A “gate” is generally created by having two sections meet at the central point of entry into the pool. And the meeting end poles are peeled back into temporary holding holes, creating a 6 ft wide entrance to the pool.

We also manufacture a self closing gate which is 36” wide, with a magna latch which is self latching and can be locked with a key. This is additional cost, but sometimes necessary to meet a customer preference, or where it is required by local code.

Warranty
Pool Barrier Direct agrees to replace, without charge, any part of our fence which proves to be defective in materials and workmanship in normal use for life. This warranty does not cover: (a) damage caused by accident, intentional misuse, improper storage, fire or natural disaster, or (b) damage or loss to other property, economic losses in excess of the cost of replacement, or any other form of incidental or consequential damages. This warranty is given in lieu of all other warranties by the seller and manufacturer, express or implied, all of which are hereby expressly excluded.

Equipment Requirements
A 1 1/8" diameter hole is drilled in the pool deck to a depth of approximately 3 ½ ", into which a non-conductive plastic sleeve is inserted, followed by the bottom of each aluminum support pole in each fence section. This allows the fence sections to stand upright, and when all the sections are connected at the top with the safety latch, tension is created, providing a strong and rigid barrier. A core drill must be used with an 1 1/8” drill bit to create the holes. A hammer drill or hand drill will not achieve the results needed to complete a proper installation. A full size diamond core drill rig with leveling adjustments and a bubble level are recommended.
